Note-taking
Write your own notes during a session and get separate AI meeting notes afterwards.
JotMe keeps your writing separate from the notes it generates. You capture what matters in the Note tab during the meeting or event. After the session, JotMe uses the transcript and your writing to create separate AI meeting notes.
Your notes and AI meeting notes
Your notes are the notes you write yourself; the app shows them under My notes. AI meeting notes are generated by JotMe; the app shows them under Enhanced.
Gist
The team confirmed next week's release is on track; QA finishes today and the Japanese localisation review moves to Thursday.
Action Items
- Mei to sign off QA before 18:00
- Taka to re-check the JA glossary
Writing your notes during the meeting or event#
The Note tab is a Markdown editor. Its own hint says it plainly: use # for
headings, - or * for bullet lists, and 1. for numbered lists.
Your writing stays under My notes. JotMe uses it as context when creating the separate AI meeting notes after the session.
Write your notes here.
Supports Markdown. Use # for headings, - or * for bullet lists, and 1. for numbered lists.
How AI meeting notes are created#
Stopping the recording starts note generation. Open the recording and select Enhanced to view the AI meeting notes. An animated generating state appears while JotMe combines the transcript with your writing under My notes. The result is organized into Gist, Summary, Key Points, Action Items, and Other Points rather than being a dump of the raw transcript. Your original notes remain unchanged under My notes.
Recreating or translating AI meeting notes#
Open the menu beside Enhanced to create another version of the AI meeting notes:
Context that makes notes better#
The Your focus panel on Home holds your operational context: goals, status, open items, and your team. JotMe uses this context to personalize AI translations and AI meeting notes. It auto-updates, and you can edit it or turn auto-update off.
Sharing AI meeting notes#
Open a recording and select Share meeting notes. The shared meeting includes the AI meeting notes under Enhanced, the full transcript, and the audio recording. Your private writing under My notes is not shared. When sharing by email or to a chat, choose what recipients can do:
| Permission | What recipients can do |
|---|---|
| View | Play the audio recording and read the AI meeting notes and transcript. |
| Comment | Play the recording, read the AI meeting notes and transcript, and leave comments. |
| Edit | Play the recording, and read, comment on, and edit the AI meeting notes and transcript text. |
The permission applies to everyone in the selected chat. For email shares, you can change each recipient's permission later from the sharing dialog. Link sharing is view-only: anyone with the enabled link can play the recording and read the shared AI meeting notes and transcript.
You can also post AI meeting notes from a chat composer's Meeting notes picker. If you turn on the post-meeting chat before stopping, JotMe creates a group chat with everyone who joined and shares the AI meeting notes, transcript, and audio recording there using the permission you selected.
Finding them later#
Your notes, AI meeting notes, and transcript live together with their recording under Recordings, filterable by kind—All, Live, Video, or Audio—by ownership, and by date range.
