People
Everyone you have met, chatted with, or shared a translation with, and everything you share with them.
People is JotMe's own contact list, built from what you already did together: meetings, events, chats, and shared translations. Nobody is added by hand, and nothing is imported from an address book.
The list#
Each row is a person, with their last activity and how many shared items you have with them. You are marked (me).
- Search across everyone.
- Filter by All contacts or From meetings, when you want colleagues you actually sat in a call with rather than everyone who ever appeared in a thread.
Until you have met anyone, the list explains that people appear after they join or are included in one of your meetings or events.
A person's shared history#
Opening someone shows everything the two of you share, searchable, with a Shared with me label on incoming items and filters for the kind of thing it is:
| Filter | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Meeting notes | Sessions you were both in: live or chat-sourced |
| Chats | Conversations you are both in |
| Translated files | Documents, images, video, audio, and text you shared |
That makes the person the index: rather than remembering which meeting or event a contract was discussed in, open the person and filter to translated files.
Recent people#
The composer and share dialogs surface Recently shared with, so sending another file or invitation to the same person takes one click instead of a search.
Companies#
Opening a person also shows the domain from their email address. The current People list does not group contacts into company pages.
