Share with a code

Let another JotMe Desktop user join your live translation with your host code.

Use With Code for participants who already use JotMe Desktop. The code lets them join the host's live translation without opening the browser participant page.

Generate the desktop code#

Choose the participant output

Set Caption or Voice under Captions or voice.

Generate the code

Open Share Translation → With Code, then generate and copy the code.

Send it to the participant

They open Live Translation → With Code in JotMe Desktop and enter the code.

Start the meeting or event

The participant joins the host's session when it becomes live.

Note

Sharing minutes with a code requires Premium or above. The participant must select the same spoken-language model as the host. If the models do not match, JotMe asks them to end their session, re-enter the code, and start again.

To prepare an invitation before a scheduled meeting or event, use the calendar and JotMe Chat workflow on Share with a URL. The invitation includes both browser and JotMe Desktop joining options.
